Somdant, the story of an elephant's small child
A sanyasi living in the Himalayan forest found an elephant child alone. He took pity on the child of that elephant and brought the child of that elephant in his hut. In a few days he became fascinated with that child and with great affection he started caring for him. Out of love, he started calling him 'Somdant' and used to gather abundant material for his food.
One day when the monk went out of the hut, Somdanta ate a lot of food alone. He did not even know how much he should eat in taste of different fruits. There was no one to stop him there. He continued to eat until his stomach burst. He died soon after the stomach burst.
When the monk returned to the hut in the evening, he found Somdanta dead there. The disconnection from Somdant was unbearable for him. There is no limit to his grief. He started crying loudly. When Sakka (Shakra; Indra) saw a monk like that crying, he came down to explain it. Where is Sakka, O monk! You were a wealthy householder. But renounce the fascination of the world, you have become a monk today. Is your attachment to the world and the world justified? "The sanyasi had the answer to the question of Sakka. He immediately realized his foolishness and fascination. He stopped mourning for the dead Somdant.
The story of the Silva elephant in the dense forests of the Himalayas
Once there was an elephant in the dense forests of the Himalayas. His body was shiny and white like silver. His eyes were sparkling like diamonds. His trunk was as tender as a boiled gold. His four legs were made of lacquer. He was also the king of eighty thousand gages.
One day while wandering in the forest, Seelwa saw a man moaning. It was clear from his misgivings that he had forgotten his path in that deserted forest. Silva took pity on the condition of the person. He stepped forward to assist her. But the person understood that the elephant was coming to kill him. So he ran and started running. With a view to allaying her fears, Silva stood up in her place with great decency, so that the running man also stopped.
As soon as Silva stepped forward, the man again ran away and as soon as Silva stopped his leg, the man also stopped three times when Silva repeated his undertaking, the fear of the running man also ran away. He understood that Silva was not a dangerous elephant. Then the man became fearless and settled in his place. Silva then approached her and offered her help. The man immediately accepted her offer. Silva then took him with his trunk and made him sit on the back and took him to his place of residence and welcomed him with the fruits of Nanaprakara. Finally, when the hunger and thirst of the man was relieved, Seelwa again put him on his back and left him outside the uninhabited forest close to his settlement.
The man was greedy and ungrateful. Immediately he came to a big market in a city market for an elephant tooth deal. In a few days, after arranging tools like saws and proper food for the way, he left for the residence of Silva.
When he approached the person in front of Seelwa, Seelwa asked him the purpose of his return. The person then pleaded his teeth to remove his poverty. In those days, Seelwa was practicing meditation. So he accepted the man's plea gladly and sat on his knees to assist him so that he could cut his teeth.
The man returned to the city and sold the teeth of Seelwa and got his full price. But due to the money received, her craving became even more powerful. He sat near Silva again in a month and sat for the rest of his teeth. Silva regained that.
After a few days, he again came to Scrooge to Silva and expressed his desire to take out the remaining teeth. Dan-Parayana Seelwa accepted the request of that person also with pleasure. Then what? In a moment the man cut all the teeth of Seelwa by cutting and piercing the gums and immediately departed to his destination.
Seelva, distraught with blood-soaked pain, could not survive again and died after some time.
When Scrooge was not able to cross even the forest boundary, then the house suddenly burst and the man got trapped in Kaal's cheek.
