Story of intelligent monkey | Story for Kids

 

A wise monkey lived in a forest thousands of years ago.  He was also the king of a thousand monkeys.

 One day he and his companions jumped and fell in the forest to a place near which there was no water anywhere.  Seeing the thirsty children and their mothers suffering from thirst in a new place and new environment, he ordered his servants to find a source of water immediately.

 Shortly thereafter, they found a reservoir.  Seeing the inability of the thirsty monkeys to quench their thirst by jumping into the reservoir, Vanararaj warns them to stop, as he was unaware of the new place.  So, with his servants, he closely inspected and tested the reservoir and its banks.  Shortly afterwards he saw some footprints who were oriented to the reservoir but did not return from outside the reservoir.  The wise monkey immediately concluded that the reservoir was definitely inhabited by a dangerous monster-like creature.  All the monkeys got frustrated after getting the information about the monster in the reservoir.  Then the wise apes confided in them that they could still quench their thirst from the monster's reservoir because there were cane forests around the reservoir which they could break and drink water from their tube.  All the monkeys did the same and quenched their thirst.

 The monster in the reservoir kept looking at them, but because his power was limited to the reservoir, he could not spoil the monkeys.  After quenching the thirst, all the monkeys returned to their forest again. 

Story of demon crab | Story for Kids

 A demon crab once lived in a lake in the Himalayas.  Elephant was his favorite food.  Whenever elephant herds came to the lake to drink water or water sports, he would make one of them his diet.  As there was no other source of water in that forest for elephant group.  Therefore, Gajraj sent his concealed elephant to a distant region so that by no means accidentally, the elephant should become the grass of that demon-crab.

 A few months later Hathini gave birth to a beautiful and athletic elephant.  When he grew up, he asked his father's whereabouts and also wanted to know why he had received his father's separation for so many days.  When he got to know all the things, he came to the same forest in the Himalayas to meet his father with the permission of his mother.  Then he bowed to the father and introduced himself, and expressed his desire to kill the demon crab and asked for the father's command and blessing for this great work.  The father first turned down his plea, but with repeated requests, he gave his son an opportunity to show his might.

 The son prepares his army and discovers all the activities of his enemy.  Then he came to know that he used to catch crab elephants only when they started returning from the lake.  And among those who returned, he would catch the same elephant who came out at the end.

 In accordance with the information, he made his plan and along with his companions entered the lake to drink water.  He was also his beloved among those companions.

 When all the elephants started coming out of the lake, he was deliberately left behind.  Then the crab caught his hind leg on the appropriate occasion in such a way that a blacksmith catches an iron body with his tongs.  When the elephant wanted to pull its leg, it could not even get stuck.  Horrified, the elephant started chirping, which caused panic among the elephants.  They did not come to his aid and ran away.  The elephant called her beloved and sought her help.  The beloved loved the elephant with a sincere heart.  Immediately to rescue her lover came to her and told the crab-

 You are a brave crab

 There is no one like you

 Second be it Ganga or Narmada

 There is no powerful man like you.

 Pleased with the love of the female elephant, the crab loosened its grip.  At that time, the elephant put a happy chirp on hearing which all the elephants gathered and brought the crab to the shore and crushed it with feet and made its sauce.
