                True Diamond

It was sunset time.  The women of the village walked towards the well.  Some women returned home after filling the water, but four women started sitting on the well of the world.

When the conversation started, it reached his sons.  The eldest woman among them said, "God has a blessing. My son is one in a million. The throat is so sweet that even a cuckoo can blush. My son is really precious."

He could not keep up with the other woman after listening to her.  She exclaimed, "No one can match my son's sister. He has a strong body like Faulad. Beats the great wrestlers. Bhishma of modern age is my son."

How the third woman kept quiet, said, "Heera is my son. Mother Saraswati has a special grace. She remembers what he reads on her."

The fourth woman was silent even after hearing the words of the three women.  He too had a son, but did not say anything about his son.

The first woman interrupted him and said, "Why do not you sister say something? You too have a son.

The fourth woman instinctively said, "What should I praise my son?"  He is neither a Gandharva-like singer nor a Bhima-like wrestler nor Saraswati has favor on him.

When she started returning on the pitcher's head, only then the melody of someone's sweet song was heard.  The first woman said, "My diamond is singing. See how sweet his throat is."

His son went away singing.  He did not pay attention to his mother.  After going some distance, the son of another woman appeared.

The other woman proudly said, "Look, my dear son is coming."  His son too did not pay attention to him and went ahead.

In a while, the son of a third woman also came out from there reciting Sanskrit shlokas.  In his accent it seemed as if Saraswati resided in his throat.

Seeing him, his mother said in a loud voice, "Look, this is my diamond."  His son also went ahead looking at Vina's mother.

On going a little distance, the son of the fourth woman also suddenly came out of there.  Was a simple boy of simple, simple nature.  On seeing her, the fourth woman said, "This is my son."

He stopped looking at himself and said, "Mother, give the pot to me. I will take it home."

His mother said, "You go. Do the work you are going for. I will take the pot myself."

Even after the mother refused, he took the pot of water from his mother's head and put it on his head and walked towards the house.

The faces of the three women were gone.  An old woman had been listening to them for a long time.  She had also seen his sons.  She came to him and said, "This is the true diamond."

             True Happiness

Was a very good king.  He loved his subjects very much.  The king also loved trees - plants and animals - birds.

He sat for a long time near trees and plants and listened to the sweet speech of birds.  The leaves of the big trees and flowers peeped from the window of the king's room, and the king was very happy to see them.

One day the king saw a beautiful bird sitting on the tree.  His body was golden and the beak was red.  After a while, that beautiful bird started singing.

The bird would come everyday and please everyone's heart with its sweet speech.  But when there is a lot of rain or storm, the bird does not come.  The king did not feel the day the bird came.

One day the king caught the bird and imprisoned it in a gold cage.  The king used to give him very good fruits to eat.  The bird did not eat anything.

Now the bird did not even speak.  She used to cry with cheeses.  A few days later the bird fell ill.  The king called great vaidyas but no one could detect the disease of the bird.  The king was very sad to see the condition of the bird.

When the king was very upset, the queen said, "Rajan this bird has no disease.  He does not like being in a cage.  It is nice to live among the green trees.  This is its disease.  "

The king freed the bird from the cage.  The bird happily flew away.  When the king woke up the next day, he saw that the bird was singing in a sweet voice sitting on the tree.
